Living in such a community of coal city, where all guys work in the mines, makes Homer Hickam, a young teenager but intelligent guy, who enjoys with his great intelligence and big talent in creating rockets, the thing that brings terrible for him with his father, who wants him to follow his footsteps, but with the great success he achieves, his father begins to appreciate his thoughts.
